In this session we will focus on understanding the connection between disordered eating and the biopsychosocial nature of it, how to identify, treat, and offer support to overweight/obese PWD. At my job, we assess, as a group, and coordinate consults with various team members to provide weight management with medical weight loss, surgical weight loss and/or diabetes education. I will be presenting one of the cases from that setting of where we started with this patient and the course of her case and where she is now in her health management with our team. We have an interdisciplinary team that consists of behavioral health, nutrition, pharmacy, exercise and medical management.
