Steatotic liver disease is becoming a more widely recognized comorbid disease state for patients living with diabetes. Diabetes care professionals may be unaware of recent nomenclature changes and this presentation will open with helpful definitions to frame the discussion. The presenter also discusses appropriate screening and referral criteria applicable to comprehensive cardiometabolic care for persons living with diabetes. Attendees will gain knowledge of the primary literature related to treatment strategies for steatotic liver disease and how to have meaningful conversations with their patients and fellow clinicians.
