Medications and testing supplies to aid in managing diabetes are constantly evolving, but at what cost to patients? Unfortunately, too many patients face financial barriers to accessing these newer medications and technologies. Without health care providers having awareness of resources available to lower costs, patients are often put on traditionally affordable products that may increase risk of hypoglycemia, cause weight gain, or lack benefits like cardio-renal protection. This session addresses financial assistance options available for a variety of insurance types to help improve patients' access to quality care.
